Konrad von Ritter
Konrad von Ritter brings in over 25 years of experience in Sustainable Development, of which 20 years with the World Bank Group. He operates from Bonn, Germany, where he runs his worldwide advisory activities for Cities & Climate Change and Climate Finance issues, including advisory work on Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMA) and smart energy policies. As a project leader he helped introduce economic instruments in environmental management in the Philippines, started up the first Ozone Depleting Substances phase out projects in Malaysia and Thailand, and served as the economist for the China Shandong Urban Environment project. He authored the study on Russia’s Environmental Impact Assessment Capacity. He has worked in Asia, Latin America, and Europe and holds Masters Degrees in Economics and in Political Science from the FU Berlin, Germany; he has been trained by the German Development Institute (DIE); and has a certificate for an Environmental Economics Course at the HIID, Harvard.
Oesha S I Thakoerdin
Oesha Thakoerdin has over 20 years of international experience accumulated throughout projects in Singapore, The Netherlands, China P.R., USA, The Philippines, Taiwan, Malaysia, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Palestine and Israel. She brings in experience in advising clients in sustainable and strategic development approaches and concepts. She worked with large Dutch consultancy firms as a senior urban planning expert. More recently, she served as Senior Manager of the Program Urban Prototyping R&D Project of the National University of Singapore. Prior to that she served as Regional Policy Coordinator with the Centre for Sustainable Building and Construction (CSBC), Building and Construction Authority (BCA) of Singapore. She demonstrated smart applications of ancient design philosophies in projects, such Feng Shui, Vaastu Shastra and Western methodologies. She has a Masters Degree in Urban Planning and Design (Urbanism) of Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, and was trained at LEAD Europe in Leadership for Sustainable Development.
Jaffe Lau Yu
Jaffe Lau Yu is the Chief Executive Officer and Director of General Nice Resources (Hong Kong) from 2002. He is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Abterra and Digiland International Limited, two companies listed in the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited. He is also Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of the Loudong GNR, a company listed in Hong Kong. He has over 20 years of solid experience in international trading and investments of mineral resources and metals, with strong relationships with customers in Australia, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, South Africa and Venezuela. Jaffe Lau Yu holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the School of Finance in University of Hawaii in the United States of America.
Boris Petersik served as Technology Investor at Capital Group. He brings 25 years of investment and finance experience covering technology and alternative energy industry in emerging markets and Japan. He served as a Technology Analyst with BZW Securities and DLJ Securities in Tokyo, Taipei and Hong Kong. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, France and a BA degree from Princeton, USA.
Atem S Ramsundersingh
Atem Ramsundersingh, brings in over 25 years of international experience and knowledge about business and project development in emerging economies and in complex decision-making. He worked with the World Bank Group as a Senior Program Manager. As the former CEO of a Malaysian public listed conglomerate, operating from Singapore and China, he expanded his experience in Asia in industrial/equipment process and project management, supply chain and quality management, utility operations, financing, deal structuring and commercialization of businesses. He maintains a vast network of contacts in over 65 countries, including among Multilateral Agencies. Former Progamme Director with UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water and Environment (Delft, The Netherlands). He holds a Masters Degree in Infrastructure Engineering of Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands and has been trained at the Policy Development Academy of the World Bank, Harvard Business School (USA), Cambridge University (UK) and at the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID).
Hartwig Westphalen is Founder/owner/CEO of SunEnergy Europe GmbH, based in Hamburg. He brings in over 30 years of extensive experience and knowledge about design, engineering and implementation of solar power systems in Germany, Italy and Turkey. Former experiences with Toshiba, Sharp and SolarWorld. He holds a Masters and a PhD Degree in Physics from the University of Kiel, Germany.
