Atem S Ramsundersingh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Member of the Board of Directors
Atem Ramsundersingh, brings in over 25 years of international experience and knowledge about business and project development in emerging economies and in complex decision-making. He worked with the World Bank Group as a Senior Program Manager. As the former CEO of a Malaysian public listed conglomerate, operating from Singapore and China, he expanded his experience in Asia in industrial/equipment process and project management, supply chain and quality management, utility operations, financing, deal structuring and commercialization of businesses. He maintains a vast network of contacts in over 65 countries, including among Multilateral Agencies. Former Progamme Director with UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water and Environment (Delft, The Netherlands). He holds a Masters Degree in Infrastructure Engineering of Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands and has been trained at the Policy Development Academy of the World Bank, Harvard Business School (USA), Cambridge University (UK) and at the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID).
Fabian Weber, Head of Systems Design and Engineering
Fabian Weber served SunEnergy Europe GmbH, a photovoltaic (PV) systems integrator and general contractor for power systems, as a product manager and project engineer and brings in extensive knowledge and experiences from Germany, Italy and Spain. In addition to his competence in plant layout and design, construction works and monitoring and plant supervision, he is also an expert in design of energy storage systems, including batteries. He designed RE/Hybrid powered micro-grids for off-grid electrification. He worked as quality assurance expert of car and aircraft electrical systems manufacturing; he also worked in Spain on pumping systems and with RM Consult, Berlin, Germany on heating systems and solar systems in buildings. Fabian Weber holds Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Management from the Technical University of Berlin, Germany and a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from the Ecole Nationale des Points et Chaussees, Paris, France. He has been trained in Economics and Mathematics at the Universidade Federal Fluminense, Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Dr. Robert de Groot, Lead Transmission & Distribution Engineer
Dr. Robert de Groot has over 5 years of experience in electrical power grid modelling, design and engineering. Has a background in smart micro-grids with energy storage systems, power management, distribution automation and O&M management planning. Worked with one of the largest distribution grid operator Transmission & Distributions in The Netherlands. He holds a PhD in Electrical Power System Engineering and a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering both from Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).
Nicolas Konialidis, Senior Energy Investment & Operations Manager
Nicolas (Nick) Konialidis, CFA has over 20 years’ experience in capital markets, investor relations and corporate advisory. Before joining WEnergy Global, Nick worked on an array of public and private investments, corporate restructurings, fund-raising and multi-party negotiations. He was also the Investor Relations Officer for a listed Independent Power Producer (IPP) with activities across Asia. Nick started his career as an Equities market-maker and trader in Paris and London before joining the sales team for a European brokerage firm in New York. In 2006, he joined research firm Sanford C. Bernstein in London and covered continental and global institutional investors. Nicolas obtained his MBA from the Nanyang Fellows programme at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). He graduated from Sciences Po in Paris, France. He is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Society in Singapore.
Quintin V. Pastrana, President of WEnergy Power Pilipinas Inc.
Quintin brings with him 20 years of experience in the public and private sector, primarily focused on the energy and minerals sector. He spent 12 years in Chevron’s geothermal and upstream energy business, where he worked in both its IndoAsia Business Unit, and its international offices in Washington, D.C. and London focusing on Policy, Government, and Public Affairs. He completed his corporate career as Vice President of GoldFields Philippines and was a key member of its Australasia business unit’s expansion plans. Most recently, he served as anchor and producer of Bloomberg TV Philippines, focusing on critical business, financial markets, and governance news developments. Quintin hold degrees in Business, International Relations, and Literature from the universities of Georgetown, Cambridge, and Oxford, and has been named as the US-ASEAN Business Council’s rising stars, one of the top Philippine young leaders by the Asia Society, and most recently, a fellow at the Philippine Council for Foreign Relations. He is also the President of the award-winning Philippine Rowing Team.
