CEO of WEnergy Global, Mr Atem Ramsundersingh, will present on solar financing at NAMA Development for the Building Sector Second National Workshop Philippines in session 3 on Capacity Building, Technology and Finance. Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) refer to a set of policies and actions that countries may undertake as part of a voluntary commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The NAMA in context of a developing country needs to respond to its sustainable development goals, and priorities towards economic and social development and poverty eradication. The NAMA essentially needs to be supported and enabled by policies, technologies, financing and capacity-building. UNEP is leading a project, supported by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) to assist countries to develop NAMAs for the building sector. The NAMA Development for the Building Sector Second National Workshop Philippines is intended to review and validate the results of the inception workshop in Manila.
